This 4 inch dreamcatcher has a genuine deer leather wrapped metal ring with beautifully woven webbing of waxed fiber sinew. white and blue stone beads are woven into this unique dreamcatcher.
Traditionally, Ojibwe mothers made small dreamcatchers from willow twigs and hung them over their babies and children's places of sleep to catch the bad dreams and allow the good dreams to go through. The web of the dream catcher is fashioned like a spider web, as spiders are considered protectors in Ojibwe tradition. For these reasons, dreamcatchers made and used for protection are sacred objects.

This dreamcatcher was made by an Ojibwe tribal artisan located within the White Earth Nation Reservation in Northern Minnesota.
