This 36 inch authentic diamond willow cane is a Richard Basswood original. Richard used his carving skills to fashion a securely fastened matching handle that would fit well in a smaller hand. The cane is about 3/4 inch in diameter and weighs only 9 ounces. This cane is tall enough for a person who is 6 feet tall, but as with any wooden this cane can be sawed off and the rubber tip re-affixed. If you know an exact height that is needed, the seller is happy to shorten the can before shipping free of charge. That request can be added in a note to the seller at the time of purchase.
This cane comes from Ojibwe country in Northern Minnesota. Richard Basswood is a White Earth Nation tribal artisan. Richard respectfully harvested, carved and finished this cane. The cane is protected with a satiny smooth gloss polyurethane finish.
